Control Systems Engineer – Processing and Packaging
My client is a leading manufacturer of high quality plastic packaging machinery. They have been in business for over 50 years and specialize in food packaging and healthcare machinery. This is an international organization, continuing to grow and be a leading supplier here to the United States. They are doing around $200 million in revenue annually. The sales of packaging equipment has been successful and they are currently in a huge growth curve in employment and expanding their manufacturing, and are in need of an experienced Controls Engineer.

Your unique role with the company:
will be to provide company-wide technical support and interact with customers daily. You will apply the latest machine control technology to new and existing equipment, provide engineering design services by working closely with sales and engineering for new product launches. This role is
visible to customers and you will work with both internal and external customers and help with troubleshooting and repairs. This role work with controls and programming of PLC and HMI code.
To be successful in this role:
Technical Degree preferred in Engineering or similar experience
Demonstrated understanding of programming and controls of machinery
Experience with Allen-Bradley, ControlLogix, and FactoryTalk programs
Strong communication and customer service background and experience in working with customers.
Success in managing multiple projects and ensuring on time completion.
This position is located in Kansas City. Kansas City is a beautiful area known for sports, arts, culture, museums, and entertainment. They have a pretty reasonable low cost of living and good schools. Great place to live and raise a family. As for career longevity there, Kansas City is home to a lot of manufacturing companies and a stable place for someone in a Controls position!
