Advance Thermal Corporation is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to be based in our Wood Dale, Illinois corporate headquarters.  This position will work with our Engineering team to perform the site measurements, drawings and requirements for custom manufacturing of removable, insulated blankets for our clientele. 

Direct hire, full-time opening with full benefits package including overtime (when required), health insurance, paid vacation, profit sharing, 401K.

As a Field Service Technician, you will report to the Service Supervisor at the company’s U.S. headquarters. Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and customer training on the company’s custom insulated blankets in manufacturing, utility or power plant installations.
Travel Requirements: Travel is estimated at about 75%; you can expect to be away from home on service calls typically anywhere from one to seven days at a time but may occasionally have longer trips. When you are not traveling, you will be working and training in our corporate headquarters in Wood Dale, IL.  You can expect some weekend travel and both domestic and international trips. Most travel will be within a 6-8 hour radius of Chicago area.  Travel may include using candidate’s personal vehicle, but will also include airline travel within North America and worldwide. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent as well as some college coursework in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field preferred.  Certificate programs and hands on work experience in manufacturing, construction, repair or mechanical aptitude will be considered. 
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude as well as good electronic troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Email).
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills including comfort presenting to and speaking with every level of customer, including senior executive-level clients.
