The purpose of this job is to ensure that the production of finished goods are manufactured to the highest quality standards in a cost effective and efficient manner while meeting customer delivery performance and expectations. This position will manage 50+ non-union employees on both 1st and 2nd shift in an Assembly & Manufacturing environment which includes: machining, grinding, rolling, and induction heat treating.
Manage the day-to-day production for the 50+ non-union employee plant
Continue the required strategic and tactical change necessary to be in alignment with current and evolving business philosophies
Champion Manufacturing programs to achieve quality, reliability, and cost improvements for all existing and future product lines
Lead efficiency and optimization efforts “Kaizens” of the manufacturing operations
Perform regular data analysis and provide system and procedure results as required
Assess Operation skill levels and conduct the required testing to identify skill gaps
Ensure that all metrics and improvements are implemented to create a safe working environment for all employees.
Monitor and maintain strategic and tactical processes are in alignment with business philosophies.
Manage, motivate, and counsel machine shop employees and conduct performance reviews and administer disciplinary actions.
Work with other departments to efficiently plan and execute customer requirements.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred (or equivalent experience)
5 or more years’ experience as a supervisor or manager in a machining/manufacturing environment
Experience in implementing LEAN and Continuous Improvement in a metric driven environment
