Join the flagship division of an industry leading, Fortune 250 company as a Quality Management System Auditor who drives the internal audit process of the quality/business management system. Responsibilities include developing audit schedules, conducting audits, and assisting with system development across all business processes. Relocation package available.
The division’s total quality management program includes recognized standards (ISO/TS 16949), and is transitioning to new standards (IATF 16949) as a basis for system performance. This role helps to sustain the quality philosophy and lean culture for the division. This highly-visible position interacts routinely with various division functional areas, locations, and suppliers. 
  • Develop audit schedule for core and support processes of the business management system.
  • Conduct process audits per the schedule and coordinate with related departments for internal, customer, and third-party quality system audits.
  • Coordinate system improvements in conjunction with process owners to address audit findings.
  • Report audit results to management on a regular basis as part of Management Review.
  • Provide system audit support of subsidiary operations and/or suppliers.
  • Support the successful implementation of new quality standards IATF 16949 with audit findings.
  • Provide effective documentation for the quality management system to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.
  • 4-year degree in related field required
  • 5-10 years’ experience in business management, operations management, or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Process based auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 and TS 16949 required. Knowledge of IATF 16949 a plus.
  • ASQ certification in Quality Auditing, Quality Engineering, or Quality Management strongly preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing and quality technologies.
  • Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels.
