As the Quality Manager you will be responsible for process implementation and improvements that ensure products are meeting expectations and customer requirements. Using your continuous improvement mentality and expertise in problem solving to enhance the quality and improve production as well as be the expert for Quality Auditing. We need a hands on leader, with proven success in identifying and implementing proven solutions, as well as a leader who can be an integral part of training and drive leadership on the floor. You will be the go-to expert in audits, ISO compliance, and proper documentation of quality systems. This role will report to the Plant Manager of a 350,000+ square foot facility.
To be successful in this role:
5+ years’ experience in quality management - leading internal and external audits, cGMP's, driving Six Sigma initiatives
SQF certification, HAACP, certification, or certified Auditor are all a plus
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
Strong communication skills from the top down and being able to address a team
Proven troubleshooter and problem solver
Project Management skills and adhering to a strict timeline
This position will be based in the greater New Haven, CT area. This is a beautiful, coastal city with a lot of outdoor recreational activities, especially in the spring and summer with access to several city beaches! If you ever dreamed of owning a boat you will likely have one here. This city has a great old town feel to it, full of culture and history, and a great place for a growing family with access to several wonderful Universities nearby.
