We are currently looking for a manufacturing-centric engineer with at least ten years of microelectronic manufacturing environment experience, including electronic packaging of PCB's, microwave, hybrids, ceramics and Duroid materials for a senior level PROCESS ENGINEERING role in our offices in San Diego, CA.

In this role you will be responsible for:
Interface with electrical and/or design engineers, mechanical engineers and suppliers to enhance manufacturability of products; accountable for yield improvement opportunities.
Develop manufacturing processes with design guidelines that promote process capability including creating, checking and releasing formal documentation.
Perform detailed Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze results using statistical methodology.
Provide fixture design concepts to mechanical engineering and drafting.
Lead process concepts to manufacturing and development engineering during design and prototype phases of product development.
Ensure product compliance to specification and schedule.
Lead failure analysis to determine root cause and corrective action.
Participate in safety training and comply with safety policies and practices.
Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions for improvements.
Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem-solving.
This position requires a strong hands-on understanding of materials used in microelectronic circuits and assemblies such as epoxies and solders as well as manufacturing processes and equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring with them the required background along with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related discipline.

The candidate hired for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance which requires US citizenship
